Sipho Kekezwa Grew Up In The Dusty Streets Of C Section, Ziphunzana. The Four-time Award Winner Of The Maskew Miller Longman Literature Awards, Silver Prize Winner Of The Sanlam Prize For Youth Literature Awards 2021, Winner Of The South African Literary Awards 2021 And First Prize Winner Of The 2022 Avbob Poetry Competition Writes Children’s Books, Drama, Poems, Short Stories And Young Adult Novels. A Number Of His Titles Have Ea ed Him Significant Acclaim Over The Years But Recent Wins Are, Ziyakhanana, A Novel, And Ubomi, Ungancama!, Drama. The Novel Was Shortlisted For The South African Literary Awards 2021 With Ubomi, Ungancama! Getting A Prize In The Youth Category. He Was Nominated Author Of The Month Of April By His Publisher, Oxford University Press. His Poems Have Been Published In 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 While One, Nqanda Konakele, Was Published In 100 Echoes Of Madiba’s Century, A Volume Published By The National Library Of South Africa Where 100 Poets Were Honouring The Late Nelson Rholihlala Mandela On His 100th Birthday. His 9th Work, Iimpahla ZikaLuvo, A Children’s Book Which Will Be Published In 15 Languages, Is In The Process Of Publication By The Nelson Mandela Institute While His 10th, A Novel Of Creative Work Sprinkled With Writing Tips Will Be Published By The Easte Cape Department Of Sport, Recreation, Arts And Culture Soon. One Of His Books, Amajing’ Iqhiwu Otshintsho, Was Aired On Umhlobo Wenene FM’s Ufundo Lwencwadi. The Recipient Of The National Library’s Community Publishing Grant Is Also A Creative Writing Workshop Facilitator And A Freelance Language Services Provider. Four Writers From His First Workshop Had Their Short Stories Published In An Anthology Titled, Cape Town: Writing My City. In 2021 And 2022 He Facilated Writing Workshops On Behalf Of The Nelson Mandela Library Services . He Has Reviewed Over Seventy Manuscripts For The Centre For The Book, Edited And Proofread Over Fifty For The Centre For The Book, Lesedi House Publishers And Individual Authors. For A Short Stint He Translated Documents For The Cape Agulhus Municipality, From English/Afrikaans To IsiXhosa. Besides Writing, Sipho Is Also A Bishop In The St John’s Apostolic Faith Mission.
